We are pleased to announce that CRETE VALLEY has been featured in a newly published article on CORDIS, the European Commission’s official platform for EU-funded research and innovation.
The article, available in six languages, highlights how CRETE VALLEY is leveraging Crete’s rich renewable energy potential to demonstrate that clean, decentralised energy systems can effectively meet the island’s energy needs. It showcases the project’s Renewable Energy Valley (REV) approach, which strengthens local self-sufficiency and energy security while supporting Greece’s and Europe’s transition towards climate neutrality.
In particular, the piece focuses on the project’s community energy labs, the involvement of local stakeholders, and CRETE VALLEY’s innovative strategies to overcome regulatory, social and engagement challenges.
